Certified Scuba diver in 1961 at the age 15. Through out the years, continued with multiple certfication up to and including DiveMaster.
Served in the US Army with an overseas tour in Korea.
Solo ed in 1967, continued flying, with certification as an Airline Transport Pilot, multi-engine, glider, seaplane, and helicopter ratings. Flight Instructor for airplanes, single, multi, engine & instruments. Worked as a flight instructor at Essex Co Airport.
Graduated From Roch Inst of Tech, with AS, BS degrees in Photographic Science and Instrumentations, Worked in technical support for Medical X-ray films for AGFA, and Quality Control Manager for Peerless Photo Products in West Caldwell NJ.
Member of the Cherry Ridge Range, have participated in many competitions.
In spare time, work on touring and restoring old cars, mostly from the 1930's, do metal work - repairing, fabricating, and painting of parts as required.
Amateur Extra ham license, very active in the VE volunteer Examiner program.
Active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, first as a Aircraft Commander, and later as a Coxswain.
