After many years of speaking about getting my Ham License I finally achieved this goal in June 2020. I decided that I could do more with my time in quarantine than just watch TV, so I decided to start studying for the technican test. Getting the bug for HAM and purchasing a Kenwood TS2000 I persured my General license and passed that test in November 2020.

While new to the hobby, I am operating a Kenwood TS2000 Base station at home. Most of my time has been spent on local repeaters and getting to know fellow HAM operators. I look forward to venturing onto the HF bands in the near future. I also operated on DMR with a Raspberry Pi and MMDVMHost. Many days you can find me Tri-State TG 31360.

I’m a graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne with a Bachelors in Communications (Broadcast Journalism emphasis). I have worked in telecommunications since 1997 supporting multiple types of networks elements and network types.

Outside of work I am quite active in my community serving as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician since 1992. Addtionally I am an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 12 of Livingston where my oldest son recently achieved the rank of Eagle and my other son is currently a Star Scout.

I look forward to learning more about the hobby and being active with the West Essex Amatuer Radio Club.
