I became an amateur radio operator in June 2020 during the Pandemic as a way to utilize the time idle time we that was being experienced. Becoming a radio operator was something I had thought about growing up ini the 1990’s, however, life, cell phones, etc took over and I pushed it to the side.
After passing the Technician exam in June of 2020, I began studying for the General license and successfully completed that in November 2020. This is when the HF bug really set in, however, due to life returning to normal, studying for the Extra license proved to be a challenge. Thankfully after some more cramming I passed the Extra exam in July 2022.
