Deadline to register is Friday, September 23 at Noon.

West Essex Amateur Radio Club will be holding a "Stay in Your Car" VE Session. The location will be on Passaic Ave. in Fairfield, NJ. Exact location will be emailed to you upon registration. You will be required to fill out a couple of forms in advance of the test. You will also need an FRN number as the FCC no longer allows social security numbers to be used on the forms. The FRN number will be assigned immediately after completing the form.

If you are taking the Technician test, you will need the following:

1. A government photo id (drivers license or state ID card preferred).
2. The original filled out paperwork we emailed you.
3. A pen or pencil
4. $15.00 fee. Payment is accepted in cash the day of the test or Venmo in advance of the test day.
5. If you are upgrading to General or Extra, you will need all of the above plus a copy of your current license or unexpired CSCE form.

Please make sure there are no papers or books in the front of your car. If you want to use a calculator, please bring one. Please bring a pen or two as well. We also suggest you bring a clipboard. The calculator on your cell phone will not be allowed. Your cell phone must be put away for the entire session. We also request you wear face covering when interacting with the VEs. If you prefer, you may bring a chair and sit outside your car.
